Hi all, just back from our first campaign weekend at Triple Helix Wargames. I will do a full report in due course (but not for at least a couple of days). In the meantime, here is the final map…
The Alliance of Light was victorious in Edethor; however it was a hard fought win. And quite costly in chocolate coins.
A HUGE thankyou needs to go out to a few people. Firstly, Dan Currey, Dave Offen-James and Neil Sharp (our crew for Gods) without whom the event simply would not have happened; Charlotte and Steve from Triple Helix Wargames for being fantastic hosts, their prize support, and for tempting me with more toys to paint; KOed Dice Bags for providing some of the prizes; and finally, all of our players who made the entire event an absolute joy to run.
And finally, a quick shout out to Andres and Sam at GutsNGears. Hi!
Welcome to the Legion of Snake Eyes blog. Chances are if you are reading this, you are one of our members or know one of our members, or you are interested in attending one of our events (yeah!). As this is all pretty new, so if you want to learn more about the Legion of Snake Eyes and what we are, please visit the About page.
The important thing to announce is our first event, Where Sleeping Gods Lie, a campaign weekend on the 26/27th February 2011 hosted by Triple Helix Wargames in Westbury. The event will include six games, varying from 15 to 100 points, and possibly more.
We have a committee of three people:
- Our Treasurer (and the person to blame for all of this) is Dan Currey one of the founders of Bracknell Forest Gamers.
- Our Secretary is Dave (OJ Science) Offen-James, former Chief Muppet, co-founder of the Sad Muppet Society in Basingstoke; and master of all things MDF.
- And finally our President is Richard Kerry, another former Chief Muppet and co-founder of the Sad Muppet Society in Basingstoke; and also President of the Gaming Club Network in the UK, at least until next year.
I want to help! How do I join?
In the first instance, if you want to get involved either email firstname.lastname@example.org or find us on Facebook (or in person if you attend one of our events). Membership is by invite only and then one forwarded to community minded gaming enthusiasts. If you sign up, you need to be prepared to get involved!
